Labeled as what it is: a sales page. Minnesota Registered Agent.co would rather have your annual $99 than watch it go somewhere else. On a page about a price that is not published, though, the one discipline we hold to is refusing to guess. Where Inc Authority says nothing, this page says nothing on its behalf.

Zero Is Zero, and That Counts

Order a formation package from Inc Authority and the first twelve months of registered agent service are included free. Our review looked for the conditions these offers usually carry, an activation charge, a shortened term, a fee for leaving early, and found none of them stated. A company in its first year gets a functioning agent at no cost during the period when every expense is felt. That is a real benefit, given honestly, and it belongs at the top of the page rather than buried under the objection.

The Second Year Has No Number

The renewal price is not published anywhere. In July 2026 we searched their homepage for it, worked through the FAQ, and read the premium package descriptions end to end. It appears in none of those places. In this industry that pattern almost always means the figure arrives at the checkout screen or comes from a person on a phone call.

Inserting a plausible amount here would be easy and would destroy the point of the page, so we are leaving the space empty. The structural objection does not need a number anyway. A registered agent is a standing cost for as long as the entity exists, and you are being invited to accept it without seeing it.

Minnesota Gives You Two Ways Out

Most states leave you stuck with whatever quote eventually arrives. Minnesota gives you leverage twice over.

The first is that the exit is cheap. Reassigning the agent seat costs $55 at the state's fastest speed, or $35 if mail is fine. Compared to an unknown renewal, that is a rounding error, and it means an uncomfortable quote can be answered the same week rather than absorbed.

The second is genuinely unusual, and we publish it knowing it argues against buying anything, including from us. A Minnesota LLC formed in this state does not have to have a registered agent. Its articles of organization list an agent only where one exists, so NONE is a permitted entry, as long as a Minnesota street address remains on file as the registered office. Businesses that registered in Minnesota from another state have no such freedom: for them the appointment is required, and letting it lapse is how authority to operate here gets revoked under Minn. Stat. § 322C.0806.

So a domestic LLC facing an unquoted renewal has three answers rather than one. Accept the number when it comes. Move to a provider that prints its number. Or keep the registered office and drop the agent, accepting that documents will then land at an address with nobody specifically responsible for noticing them. We think the middle option is best, and we sell it, but we would rather list all three.

Both of Our Numbers, Printed Above

$99 this year and $99 in every year after, and you did not have to call anyone to learn the second one. The rate includes a compliant Minnesota business address occupying the registered office line on your filings, immediate scanning and email delivery of documents we receive, a dashboard you can open at any hour, and reminders before your compliance deadlines, December 31 included. Checkout contains one product with no add-on screen behind it. Our FAQ answers the rest.

And to be exact about our own row: BetterLegal advertises $90 a year, below us. We are among the lowest flat annual rates in Minnesota. That is the whole claim.

Filing Inc Authority Out of Your Minnesota Registered Agent Line

The instrument is the Notice of Change of Registered Office/Registered Agent, submitted to the Minnesota Secretary of State, Business Services, at $35 by mail or $55 through the expedited online and in-person channels. Note that you cannot solve this by naming your own business on the agent line; Minnesota's form instructions prohibit an entity from serving as its own agent, so the choice is another provider, a qualifying individual, or the NONE election described above.

Order of operations, and it is worth stating on this page in particular. A service you never paid for is easy to walk away from casually, which tempts people into closing the account and dealing with the state whenever. Do the reverse. Inc Authority remains your agent on the public record until the Secretary of State processes the change, and if you are keeping an agent, the notice needs the successor named before it can be submitted at all. Our change of agent guide covers the approval step and the filing.

The best time is any business day still inside the free year.
